It started with the basics
Kize worked primarily with coach Satbyeol Kim, with additional feedback from coach Seo Hyeon Kim. Early lessons explored her range and basic exercises before the coaches recommended an Ailee song.
She practiced between lessons, worked on difficult high passages, and learned to hear details she had previously missed. Korean pronunciation became another challenge: speaking the language and singing it clearly were different tasks.
Progress included difficult days
The video includes frustration, fatigue, and nerves before the recording. It also includes the enjoyment of singing. Kize’s final performance is followed by reflections on the coaching and the effort behind it.
This is one singer’s experience, rather than a promise of identical results in 30 days. Watch the process as well as the finished performance.

Try a more focused approach to your own practice
You don’t need to copy Kize’s song or timeline. Start with a goal that fits your voice and the time you have.
- Choose one clear goal. Focus on a phrase, a comfortable range, or clearer lyrics rather than fixing everything at once.
- Keep a practice record. Note what you worked on and what you want to ask your coach next.
- Listen back under similar conditions. Use the same passage and recording setup so that changes are easier to hear.
- Bring questions to your lesson. Specific feedback gives your next practice session a direction.
